Reds chasing new goalkeeper

Paul Hart is still looking for a goalkeeper today after triallist Carl Emberson was ruled out of making his debut against Bristol City on Sunday.

Emberson played last night in Barnsley Reserves' 3-0 defeat at Tranmere but League rules forbid him from facing Bristol City.

Barnsley are only able to sign a replacement on loan.

Hart said: "We're looking into the loan market, but it isn't easy at this stage of the season."

Hart's only other alternative is to use part-timer Danny Alcock or Scott Flinders.

Hart said: "He did all right,"

"We made individual mistakes and were better in the second half."

Emberson is a free agent having been released from the Division Three side Southend last week.

"We've let Carl go to give him some extra time to find another club," said Southend boss Steve Tilson.
