Reds Head For Scotland.

Barnsley have today signed striker Jason Scotland on a free transfer.

The 33 year old joins after leaving Ipswich at the start of January and the former Swansea and Wigan man has penned a deal until the remainder of the 2012-2013 season.

Scotland really hit form in English football whilst with the Swans between 2007 and 2009 where he netted 45 goals in 90 games, earning him a £2m move to Wigan.

The former Trinidad and Tobago international netted twice for Ipswich this season and played 62 minutes for them at Oakwell back in September.

He told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:

"I'm looking forward to getting back to playing football," Jason told Barnsley Player. "Everyone is really positive here. I'm going to try and bring more goals to this team."
