Barnsley have been hit with the news that leading goalscorer Craig Davies will be out for between two and six weeks with a hamstring problem.

The Welsh international, who ended his five year international exile in the last week, has netted seven league goals this season but will be missing for the next few games leaving the door open for Marlon Harewood.

Reds boss Keith Hill told BBC Radio Sheffield: "It could be anything between two and six weeks."

"We'll wait until the results of the scan," he added. "We'll assess the options we have going into the weekend's game."

Meanwhile, Egyptian striker Mido was on target for the Reds' development team in his eagerly awaited return from injury.

The young side went down 2-1 against Huddersfield but Mido won, and then converted a penalty before being withdrawn after 70 minutes.

Dave Flitcroft's side had fallen two behind before Mido struck on the hour mark.

Reds team: Lidakevicius, Patterson, Steade, Scott, Kilburn, Abbott (McKnight 80), Shilito (Alderson 22), Clark, Mido (Sousa 69), Noble-Lazarus, Oates.
