Reds May Have To Wait For Coventry

Barnsley could be set for their FOURTH rearrangement in less than two months, after it emerged that the game at Coventry City on the 7th March is now under threat due to the FA Cup.

The Sky Blues drew their Fifth Round game with Blackburn and so therefore will replay on Tuesday. If they win the replay, they will advance to to a Quarter-Final tie with Chelsea (Barnsley's Quarter-Final opponents last season) on the day they are due to meet The Reds in the league.

Barnsley have already seen games with Sheffield Wednesday, Crystal Palace (both due to the weather) and Sheffield United (due to the Blades FA Cup commitments) forced into rearrangements. The Reds finally played Wednesday on Tuesday and recorded their first win at Hillsborough in 26 years whilst the Blades match which has had to be rearranged twice is due to take place on the 7th April. As of yet there is no new date for the home meeting with the Eagles.
