Barnsley have made their second defensive recruit of the week today with Kevin Long arriving on loan from Championship outfit Burnley until the 19th December.
The 25 year old central defender has been at Turf Moor for five years after joining from his boyhood club Cork City in Ireland but has made only 27 appearances, the last of which came on New Year’s Day in a 3-3 Premier League draw at Newcastle.
Whilst in England the former Republic of Ireland youth international has spent time out on loan at Accrington Stanley, Rochdale and Portsmouth but has not played a competitive first team game since that match at St James’ Park.
