Two experienced pros gave Oldham a great start in this Avon Insurance League Premier Division game.

Lee Duxbury gave the Latics a 19th minute lead which was doubled after 30 minutes with a free kick from John Sheridan.

Isaiah Rankin got the Reds back in the match on 38 minutes and youngster Dale Tonge came off the bench to notch the equaliser just after half-time.
However, the Latics Chris Killen restored their lead minutes later and it was left to Rankin to once again level the game after 70 minutes.

Barnsley looked the more likely winners from then on and Robbie Williams nearly won in at the death but his free header from a corner went wide.
