Peter Ridsdale and Patrick Cryne, chief executive of iSoft, are due to meet with Reds owner Doyle on Wednesday.
Doyle who rejected a bid from Ridsdale earlier in the summer told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"Everything has been agreed - it's just a matter of dotting the t's and crossing the i's and the deal happening, "

"We are meeting tomorrow and we have been in conversation most of [Tuesday] morning on the phone.

"We have had a hell of a lot of meetings on this - this is not something that has just happened."

Asked how close the deal was to being completed Doyle said: "We are as close as it can be without it happening."

It is understood the Ridsdale consortium are ready to wipe out the club's £5.2m debt with mortgage lenders Sterling Consortium and meet all the Football League's criteria to take the club out of administration.

Lewis is expected to surrender his option to buy the club.
