Robins Set To Have A Flutter On Doyle

On loan midfielder Nathan Doyle could be set to join Barnsley on a permanent basis when the January transfer window opens in two weeks.

Doyle is currently at Oakwell on loan from Premier League side Hull City and has made 10 appearances. His loan comes to an end after tomorrow’s game at Crystal Palace but Robins has been suitably impressed with the 22 year old’s impact (if Barnsley fans haven’t) and could be set to bring him back across Yorkshire.

Robins told the pre-match press conference for Crystal Palace:

"Nathan Doyle has had a great spell on loan with us and done very, very well in midfield. He is someone we are trying to bring in and that conversation is going on with Hull City. It will have to be seen what happens and the deal has to be right for all parties. That is something we are trying to move forward but all our focus is on Saturday's game at the moment.
