Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie has told Player Of The Year Chris Shuker to sign the new contract that’s on the table or leave the club.
Shuker is believed to be holding out for an improved deal but Ritchie has warned the midfielder the club has gone as high as its prepared to.
Ritchie told the Sheffield Star:
"As a club, we've come to our final offer and now it is up to him,"
"We have got a wage structure at the club and we are not going to break it for anybody. We have simply got to keep within the scheme of things.
"If we go up, then we'd start to think about better wages and bringing in players on better wages, but for now, we have to stick to the structure."
