2004/2005 Player of The Year Chris Shuker, Neil Austin and Dale Tonge are set to sign new contracts at the club but promising youngster Tom Baker will be leaving on a free transfer. Shuker has shot to prominence with his superb displays this season whilst Tonge has excelled since being drafted in at right back.

Tom Baker has had a series of impressive displays in the reserves but fractured his foot after coming on as a sub for the first team in the defeat at Hull.

New Reds boss Andy Ritchie told the Official Site:

"Talks with Chris are still going on at the moment but we are confident that an agreement can be reached.

"We are still talking to Neil and Dale at the moment and we are hopeful that we can come to an agreement soon".

"We have been unable to agree a new contract with Tom. It is unfortunate and we would have liked him to stay at the Club for another year but we will allow him to leave in the summer. We will not be asking for any compensation.

"Tom has a lot of ability and I am sure he will find himself a new club. I respect his views as to why he did not want to sign and would like to wish him every success in the future".
