We defended well throughout and we managed to put away some of the chances we have been creating. Chris Shuker scored two great goals, the second one in particular was a great finish really.
It could have been a banana skin for us but if we want to do anything this year then we have to come to places like this and beat teams. Hopefully this win can set us up for a big month. We have a lot of games coming up and it will be mentally tough.
It was important not to lose this afternoon and I think we stood up to be counted"
Barnsley Boy says: A terrific win today in what could have been a tricky game. Last season we drew both games with the bottom team ( Stockport) This time we’ve won both! Another clean sheet which now gives us the out-right best defensive record in the league. Must keep this going though as only goal difference keeps us in the play-offs but the gap to third is also extremely small.
