Gudjon Thordarson has been appointed as the new Notts County manager.
Patrick Nelson told the club website: "Gudjon was clearly the strongest in a good field of candidates and we are looking forward to working with him.
"With Howard Wilkinson on the board and Gudjon Thordarson as manager, we are confident that we have one of the strongest managerial teams in our history."
Ironically, Gudjon probably beat Paul Hart in the race to succeed player-boss Ian Richardson.
He becomes the sixth man in charge of County in the last five years so good luck Gudjon!
