Barnsley boss Simon Davey is set to reach a milestone that no other Barnsley manager has reached since Danny Wilson on Saturday. Davey will be charge of his 100th Reds game when South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United visit Oakwell this weekend.

Davey has so far presided over 99 games, winning 35, drawing 19 and losing 45 which also shows he has lost nearly half of his matches in charge.

He still has to go along way to beat Johnny Steele's record however. The man who was in charge of Barnsley for 12 years from 1960-1973 (with a break of a year in between) took charge of a staggering 581 Reds matches in which he won 202.

Davey becomes the 13th Barnsley manager to have taken charge of 100 or more Barnsley matches, but the first since Danny Wilson who amassed 201 games in charge between June 1994 and July 1998.
