Trio sign new Reds deals

Three Barnsley first team players have this afternoon signed new deals with the Club until June 2009. Brian Howard, skipper Paul Reid and youngster Luke Potter have all signed on at Oakwell.

Influential midfielder Brian Howard has signed a new deal until June 2009. Brian joined the Reds from Swindon Town in 2005 with Paul Hayes and Richard Kell and has scored 13 goals in 80 first team appearances.

Paul Reid joined the Reds under Paul Hart from Northampton Town in 2004 and became captain under Hart. In 124 games, Reid has notched 5 goals including one on debut at MK Dons and a vital goal against Huddersfield Town in the League 1 play-off semi final second leg last season.

Luke Potter has made one Reds appearance, that being on Sunday against West Brom and has signed on until 2009.



New deals for star players
