Blackpool looking for kick-start, by Mark Orr, Seasiders.net

Pool go into the game on the back of a 5-0 drubbing at QPR on Saturday, and I wouldn't be surprised if manager Steve McMahon made a number of changes for this Carling Cup tie. After high expectations during pre-season, Seasiders fans were left shocked by the weekends defeat, and will be expecting a much improved performance if not an impressive win in this game.

One to Watch Mike Sheron

Blackpool's man to look out for is a player that Barnsley fans will know a lot about. Since we signed Sheron from the Tykes he has impressed all of the Pool fans with his work ethic and eye for goal. His three goals in pre-season, including one against a full strength Blackburn side left supporters with the feeling that Sheron is the goal scorer that the side have needed for a number of years. With last years leading marksmen John Murphy not yet 100% fit, Sheron should lead the line against his former team-mates.
