Wallwork In Horrific Stabbing Incident

On loan midfielder Ronnie Wallwork has been involved in an horrfic stabbing incident in Manchester last night.

Wallwork is believed to have been stabbed 7 times in the hand, stomach and back.

Wallwork who would have missed Barnsley next 2 games through injury and ineligible anyway is now in a stable condition in hospital.

He could miss the rest of the season.

A Barnsley Football Club Statement said:

"Barnsley can confirm that on-loan midfielder Ronnie Wallwork has been involved in an incident in Manchester last night.

"The club are deeply concerned about Ronnie and, although we do not know the full facts or circumstances surrounding the incident, we wish him a full and speedy recovery.

"Ronnie has been a model professional during his time at Barnsley and we will be liaising with West Bromwich Albion as to the best course of action.

BarnsleyBoy Says: As you all know I've not been Wallwork's biggest fan in the two games he's played so far. But this should happen to anyone and I wish Ronnie a very speedy recovery.
