Wigan Away In The JPT!

Barnsley have been handed arguably the toughest draw possible in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Northern Semi-Finals as they must go to Wigan for a spot in the Area Final.

This will be only be The Reds fifth ever trip to Wigan and they have lost two and won only one of the previous four.

The tie will be played in the week commencing the 7th December. In the other northern semi-final, Fleetwood will hose Morecambe.

Wigan have defeated Crewe (3-2) and Blackpool (4-0) whilst Barnsley saw off Bradford and York both by a 2-1 scoreline. The Latics have good history in this competition, winning it twice, in 1985 and 1999.
