Wolves On The Prowl For Werling

It looks increasingly likely we have not seen the last of Dominik Werling whether he signs for The Reds or not.

Play-Off chasing Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined Ipswich Town in being linked with bringing the left-back with a Roberto Carlos free-kick back to England and the Championship.

Werling has returned to his parent club - Turkish side Sakaryaspor after his six month loan spell at Oakwell ended on 1st January. A contract remains on the table and Reds boss Simon Davey had admitted to being none the wiser as to his current plans. He told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:

"To be honest I have no idea where Dominik is. We will have to wait and see whether he turns up at another club or not."

Werling made 17 league appearances for the club scoring one goal and became famous for looking and striking a ball like Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos. His last appearance was in the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on 8th December where he picked up his fifth booking of the season.

Meanwhile Blackpool striker Keigan Parker is expected at Oakwell today for more talks over a £200,000 move. The Reds host The Seasiders in the FA Cup Third Round tomorrow and no matter whether Parker is a Red or an Orange by 3pm he certainly will not be involved in the match.

Finally Barnsley assistant manager Ryan Kidd has been charged by the Football Association for using abusive and/or insulting words following the 0-0 draw at Ipswich on the 1st December.
