Barnsley 0-1 Southampton: Post Match Reaction:

Last updated : 10 January 2009 By Rob Miles (barnsley Boy)

Southampton had their chance and took it. We did not take one of the ten or 15 opportunities we had.

It is frustrating and we had three strikers out there for most of the game who you would expect to put one away. We are very disappointed but we need to move on.

We created a lot of chances and were in control for 80 minutes. It was definitely a penalty at the end and there is no doubt about it but they did not see it.

I am not sure how we have lost it. We need to put those chances away and should have put one into the net. Football had a habit of kicking you when you least expect it.

Rob Kozluk has a chance for next week; Anderson has a chance but Hugo Colace, Diego Leon and Martin Devaney are two or three weeks away.

We are still looking at new players and have some irons in the fire. Hopefully things will move forward and we could have someone in by the middle of the week. We need one, maybe two strikers but with the way our midfield is at the moment we might have to look there as well.

We will move on now and make sure we are firing on all cylinders at Norwich"
