Barnsley 1-1 Ipswich: Post Match Reaction

Last updated : 13 March 2017 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

"We got what we deserved. We didn’t kill them off and it’s as simple as that. Ipswich showed what they’re all about, being resolute and playing right to the very end. However, I’m disappointed that we didn’t put the game to bed much earlier."

"We created enough chances to win the game, but one thing that does stand out is the number off target. Not only that, but we had great positions on the counter but couldn’t make the most of them. If we had scored more goals, the game would have been easier."

"We prepared as well as we could for the game, in terms of what we delivered, I was pleased. Ipswich are a very difficult team to play against, they're so organised and never give anything away. Not only are they a physical side but have options up-top, midfielders and wing-backs who like to get forward and deliver into dangerous areas.

"It’s like a war of attrition and they keep grinding until you make a mistake, and credit to us, we didn’t give them much."

"It’s not nice when you concede like that, but we’re about performances. Things have been good in the last few games, but today, in regards to how we want to control the game and dictate the opposition, we did what we wanted, except score goals,"
