Barnsley 3-3 Stoke City: Post Match Reaction

"I am speechless after that. That is the second week on the bounce that has happened to us and my players deserved to win that game. We did win the game but I am already in trouble so I am going to say nothing more on that referee.

"I have had two different versions from the referee as to why he gave the penalty. He has told me that it was for a tug and for handball so read into that what you want.

"My players were fantastic again today and it is very hard to walk into that dressing room and see them so silent. I know that they deserved the three points - in fact we did get three points and that is what I will tell them in training tomorrow and they should have their heads held high.

"Stoke are a strong and physical side and I was delighted with the way we stood up to that. We competed for 90 minutes - it is just unfortunate that the game went on for 98 even though he had indicated just four additional minutes.

"I have no complaints about my players whatsoever. We have shown that we can compete with everybody in this division in the first half of the season and it is up to us to do it again. It is a bitter pill to swallow but we will not dwell in things and we will lift the players for a big game on Saturday.

"I have never known a referee change his mind on any decision in my life".
