Birmingham City 2-0 Barnsley: Post Match Reaction

Last updated : 24 August 2008 By Rob Miles (barnsley Boy)

"We are obviously disappointed again. We have come down to St Andrews and had a lot of the play, had some good chances but silly errors have cost us again. We went behind and were chasing the game but still created some opportunities. We just did not convert them.

"It is the first time I have lost four matches in a row and that has to stop now.

"We are very frustrated at the moment.

"It is not as though teams are carving us open and that is the most frustrating part. It is basic errors and we have to make sure that does not happen again.

"We played the right system to start with and we had a lot of the play in the first half. We felt it was the right way to go but obviously we had to change it at half time and I felt that Kayode (Odejayi) did very well when he came on. He made a bit of a difference for us.

"We tried to get back into the game and chased it. It meant the second half was end to end with a lot of chances. Goals change games and Birmingham's second obviously changed a lot of the half time team talk. If we had put one of our chances away then that would have changed the game again.

"We have to get three points on the board and that means next weekend's game with Derby is a massive game. I know that, the players know that and the fans know that. We need three points".
