Luton 0-2 Barnsley: Post Match Reaction

Last updated : 21 January 2007 By Rob Miles (barnsley Boy)

"We are very pleased with today and it was a tremendous team effort. We have not won away from home since August so to keep a clean sheet and beat Luton shows just what team spirit we have in the squad.

"We have taken a lot of stick this week but that was a fantastic result and the work ethic we showed was tremendous. We took our chances today as well which was pleasing.

"The players have had to take a lot of stick and we are relieved to have answered that with a win.

"We scored early on and then did well. We had to soak up a bit of pressure in the second half but Martin's goal really killed it.

"We have to build on that. You do not get relegated when you lose a game in January and you certainly do not stay up because you win but it is something we can build on.

"Our fans who made the trip were tremendous and never stopped signing. Our supporters can be the difference between going down and staying up this season".
