Scunthorpe 2-1 Barnsley: Post Match Reaction

"If you don't take your chances then unfortunately you are not going to get a point. We have to take our chances. We created a fair few of them and missed them so we were punished.

"Scunthorpe break against you quite well and we coped with that for most of the game. They got a goal after the ball came into our box far too easily. It opened up a bit after that and we got an equaliser that we deserved really. I was pleased with Daniel Bogdanovic because that is what I want to see from him and he had not been showing enough lately. That was him back to his best.

"He got us deservedly back into the game. Filipe Teixeira had a header just before that which he put wide and it looked a fairly straightforward chance. Our set piece delivery was not brilliant and it seems as though we do not get that without Iain Hume.

"That is something these players should be and are capable of doing but for some inexplicable reason it was not going into the right areas with quality. When it does go in there we did not play with enough thought. We are playing with tired minds at the moment and that does happen when you have so many matches but everybody else has the same number of games.

"Scunthorpe had a real good hiding on Saturday and they gave us a very tough game. At the end of the day I expected to get at least a point from the game. I am really gutted that we did not get a point but, on the balance of play, we should have had all three.

"At the end of it we just needed to clear the ball. It was a great finish to be fair but we were falling all over the place in there. I think it was the seventh minute or so into stoppage time and I do not know where they get their time from although they will just say that it is a minimum of four to be added. That is the get out clause. I am disappointed, annoyed and probably cannot use the words to the press. We have to bounce back again."
