Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Barnsley: Post Match Reaction

Last updated : 28 November 2007 By Rob Miles (barnsley Boy)

"I felt we controlled the first half. Sheffield Wednesday had a spell for 20 minutes in the second but after that there was only one team in the game.

"We just did not take a chance. We have taken those opportunities in other matches. There was nothing in the game until they scored and that kicked us into action really.

"Football is all about what you do in each penalty box and we have not done enough in both tonight. We had the chances.

"It is a tight league and we have won three from our last five matches but you live and die by your last game. We have lost here and we now have to regroup before going to Ipswich to win the game.

"We will prepare the lads right for Ipswich. We will go there for a result.

"It always hurts to lose a game but I could not fault the lads tonight. They gave everything and the desire, endeavour and creativity was there but we were just lacking in the final moments. We were undone by a set piece and that is something we have to address.

"Hopefully this will be another reality check for the players and we can kick on again.

"I am only happy when we win matches. I am not happy tonight and hopefully we can get back that winning feeling on Saturday".
