"I thought we deserved that. We passed the ball well in the first half and created enough chances to be disappointed not to be further in the lead.
"Southend put us under a lot of pressure after the break but I never felt that they would score.
"I told Jamal (Campbell-Ryce) come and make it a happy return. He did that.
"We now want a big club at home so we can pack out Oakwell".
