"I am devastated for everybody connected with Barnsley Football Club today. That result is very difficult to take.

"We have had a long hard route through to this game and to lose is very difficult to swallow. It is not about Kayode (Odejayi) - it is about everybody out there from the manager to the substitutes. We are all very disappointed people today.

"We just fell short on the day and that is hard to take.

"We knew that the occasion would be very difficult and I thought we acquitted ourselves very well. We just did not get a goal and that is disappointing.

"We had 80 minutes to get back into the game but just could not get there.

"We all hoped Kayode would score when the chance came. Unfortunately he missed and I am sure he will come back from this. We are all disappointed - not just Kayode. We have come here and lost the game. That is hard to take but hopefully we will be back.

"Whatever happened today we know that we have six other cup finals coming up and we have to get points in the league. We have six massive games in front of us now and it is up to me to lift the players. I have to pick them up now for Wednesday.

"We have to pull together as a club and make sure we stay in this division. The lads have been fantastic on this cup run and we can be very, very proud of them. They are devastated at the moment but we will bounce back.

"Every one of them is bitterly down and disappointed tonight. We win together and we lose together. Hopefully we can win together on Wednesday".
