Barnsley 0-0 Bradford- Match Report

Marley Watkins was denied an injury-time winner for the hosts by the woodwork as Barnsley and Bradford fought out a goalless draw at Oakwell.

The hosts were inches away from scoring when a long Marc Roberts throw found its way to Watkins, who saw his near-post effort smash against a post.

Bradford started well and pressed Barnsley which led to four corners in a row and they came close to scoring through an acrobatic effort by Rory McArdle, which Adam Davies managed to tip over the bar.

Sam Winnall tested Ben Williams with a low curling effort and the keeper had to be alert again following a 20-yard drive from Ben Pearson.

The visitors had a glorious chance to take the lead when Steven Davies robbed the ball from Josh Scowen but his attempted chip drifted wide.

Bradford looked the more likely to win the game in the second half and substitute Luke James went close when he met James Hanson's flick-on but his tame shot was collected by Davies.

Barnsley then almost snatched a winner in added time but Mawson was left frustrated
