Barnsley 0-0 Doncaster Rovers

Last updated : 10 November 2013 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley finally picked up their first clean sheet of the season at the 15th time of asking, ensuring they will not equal the record of 1952 when it took 19 games.

Unfortunately though Chris O’Grady’s missed penalty saw Barnsley draw for the third game in succession. It is the first time they have had three stalemates in a row since they drew five in a row in August/September 2011.

It is only the third time Barnsley and Doncaster have shared a goal-less draw in their 66 meetings and only the second time in the last 15 meetings that there has been a draw.

Barnsley have gone four games without defeat for the first time this season, and the first time since the final four games of last season.

The point for Doncaster ends a run of three straight defeats and whilst Barnsley have won just one of the last 10, Rovers have won two of the last 13.
