Barnsley lose four successive league games for the first time since the final four matches of 2013-2014

It is the first time they have lost four in a row at this level of English football since 1970.

It is the first time they have lost successive home games since September 2014.

They have conceded twice in each of those four games.

Since winning six in a row back in March, Barnsley have won only five of the subsequent 21 league matches.

A Barnsley game was goal-less at half time for the first time in nine league outings.

Josh Scowen picked up his sixth booking in 14 appearances this season, including his fifth in the last eight. Ben Pearson collected his fifth yellow and now misses the weekend game against Fleetwood.

Barnsley have picked up at least two yellow cards in each of their last four matches.

Barnsley have failed to score a goal from open play now in any of their past five matches.

Barnsley have drawn only one of their last 11 matches and have the joint lowest amount of stalemates in League One this season (2)

Walsall won at Oakwell for only the fourth time in 21 visits and the first time since 1984 (seven visits) It is the Saddlers first league win at Oakwell since 1971.
