Barnsley bounced back from their defeat at Gillingham last weekend to record their eighth league victory in nine outings- their best run of form since 1955.
This was their fifth league victory in a row at home, their best run of form at Oakwell since the 1996-1997 promotion season (they managed seven in a row that season)
However this was the first time in that run they have not led at half time.
Like Lee Johnson last season Paul Heckingbottom has won both his first two home games in charge with clean sheets.
The Reds had 10 shots on target, their joint most of the season (also had 10 in the 6-1 win over Rochdale)
They also forced 14 corners again the joint most this season (also had 14 in the 2-1 home defeat to Crewe)
A Barnsley home league game was goal-less at half time for the first time since October (nine games, the 2-0 defeat to Walsall was the last occasion)
Barnsley have had back to back home clean sheets for the first time since the first two home games of the season.
They have also had shut-outs in four of their past five league matches.
Barnsley have scored in each of their last 11 matches and have only failed to net in one of their last 19 in all competitions.
This was Barnsley’s fifth clean sheet in their last seven league outings.
This was Barnsley’s first win over Doncaster for seven meetings (they had drawn three and lost three of the previous six)
In each of the last three meetings (which have all produced winners) the decisive goal has been scored in the final 10 minutes.
There were 11,638 supporters inside Oakwell, the Reds’ second highest home league attendance of the season (only the 13,571 for the draw with Sheffield United eclipses it)
