Barnsley 1-1 Chesterfield

Last updated : 12 April 2015 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley have drawn four of their past six matches. Prior to this they had only drawn seven of 43 games this season.

After winning six in a row, The Reds have now gone six without a win, now their worst run of the season.

They kept clean sheets in five of those six wins, but have now gone five games without a shut out for the first time since the opening five games of the season.

This was only the seventh time this season that Barnsley have conceded first and not gone on to lose.

Barnsley had opened the scoring at Oakwell 11 games in a row, but have now conceded first in each of their past three.

Sam Winnall netted the Reds equaliser, in the nine matches he has scored in this season, yesterday was only the third time Barnsley have not gone on to win.

It was another second half goal for Barnsley, they have managed only eight first half strikes in their last 22 outings.

Seven of Winnall’s 11 goals this season have come after half time.

Barnsley have gone three home league games without a win for the first time this season.

Of the 12 League One matches played yesterday, seven were draws, five by a 1-1 scoreline.

Five out of the last six meetings between Barnsley and Chesterfield have now ended in a draw.
