Barnsley 1-1 Peterborough

Last updated : 19 April 2015 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Four days after losing two points through an injury time goal, Barnsley rescued a point with one.

It is the third time this season they have scored in the final minute of a game, but the first time it has been crucial in earning any points for two years when Stephen Foster netted a 96th minute equaliser at Cardiff.

But The Reds have now gone eight matches without a win, their longest run since December 2012.

On a more positive note it is only two defeats in their past 14 games.

Barnsley have gone seven games without a clean sheet, their longest run since the final seven matches of last season.

Peterborough had Kgosi Ntlhe sent off after 75 minutes, only the third league opposition player to be dismissed in a Barnsley game this season. The Reds had won on each of the other two occasions they had faced ten men.

Barnsley conceded in the first 20 minutes of a game for only the second time in their past 15 matches.

The Reds have conceded the first goal at Oakwell on eight occasions, and have only come back to win ONCE.

Barnsley have been behind at half time on 16 occasions this season, and have come back to win only twice.

Having drawn seven of 43 matches, Barnsley have had six stalemates from their past eight games and drawn three in a row for the second time in that run.

They have now drawn 11 games this season, but only five sides have drawn less.

Barnsley have now scored only nine first half goals in their past 24 matches and home supporters have seen only one in the last seven at Oakwell.

There was not a single loan player in the Barnsley starting line up yesterday. This is only the second time that has happened this season, the other occasion being the 2-0 League Cup defeat to Crewe back in August.

There was no winner in a Barnsley/Peterborough meeting for only the second time in 16 clashes.

It was only the fifth ever draw between the two sides (34)
