Barnsley have comfortably made it through to the knockout stages of the Checkatrade Trophy, finishing top of Northern Group F with eight points.
It extends their unbeaten run in this competition to 10 matches, six of which they have won, including two against Bradford.
The Reds are now unbeaten at Oakwell for 15 matches (all comps), W9 D6 their best home run since 2005-2006 when they went 19 without defeat in front of their own supporters.
This was the first time Barnsley have conceded the first goal at Oakwell this season, it comes in their 11th match.
It is the second time in three Checkatrade Trophy games this season that Barnsley conceded the first goal, but they came back on both occasions to win 2-1.
They have now won after conceding the first goal on three occasions this season - 2 in the Checkatrade and 1 in the league), the first time they have managed this on three occasions in one season since 2015-2016 when they did it on seven occasions - incdenitally three of those came in the Johnstones Paint Trophy, and one of which was against Bradford.
David Ball's effort after eight minutes is the earliest Barnsley have ever conceded in this competition.
George Moncur turned this tie around with a brace, his first two goal haul since doing so for Peterborough in a 2-2 draw with Port Vale in September 2016.
Moncur has now scored three Checkatrade goals this season, and of the five goals he has netted in 2018-2019, four have come in cup competitions (also at Blackpool in the EFL Cup)
Despite scoring at least two goals in ten of their 17 matches in this competition this is the first brace by a Barnsley player.
Adam Jackson's two yellow cards made him the first Barnsley player to be sent off in 2018-2019. Coming in the 21st game it is furthest into a season before a Barnsley red card since 2015-2016 when it did not arrive until the 25th game.
It is Barnsley's first home red card since Dimitri Cavare received his marching orders on the 27th January against Fulham.
It is their first ever red card in this competition.
This was only the third time this season that Barnsley's half time result has been a score draw - two have come in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Including a penalty shootout Barnsley have won six successive home matches for the first time since 2000 when they won their first six home games of 2000-2001 in all competitions.
Barnsley have now won each of their last four meetings with Bradford, the third time they have won four in a row against them.
Two of those four victories are 2-1 wins in this competition.
The Reds are unbeaten in seven Oakwell meetings, however five have been draws.
Bradford are currently the only side to have more ball possession than Barnsley in a game this season however they could not repeat the feat at Oakwell.

“David Ball scored a fantastic goal, he took it really well and we are delighted for him.
“He had plenty of other chances as well. Their keeper had to make three or four really good saves to deny him more goals.
“David works very hard and his fitness levels are improving. He has fantastic quality on the ball.
“After the goal we controlled the game but switched off in vital moments. They scored from some poor defending.
“They came out and attacked for the first 10 minutes of the second half and scored the crucial goal.
“We then got back in the driving seat, controlled the game and created numerous chances. We just needed to be far more clinical.”
