Barnsley 2-2 Bristol City

Last updated : 30 October 2016 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley drew for only the second time this season and both have been achieved thanks to last minute goals for The Reds (Sam Winnall v Aston Villa)

Adam Hammill’s strike was Barnsley’s fourth goal in the 90th minute or later and they have scored nine times in the final ten minutes of matches this season.

For the second time in three home games, Barnsley opened the scoring but fell behind.

Barnsley conceded a goal from a penalty for the fourth time this season- they did not concede ANY from the spot last season.

Each of the last three Barnsley/Bristol City meetings have now finished 2-2 but this was the first time Barnsley had opened the scoring in five clashes.

There have now been a total of 47 goals scored in the last 10 meetings (21 for Barnsley and 26 for Bristol City) and Marley Watkins effort yesterday was the 100th goal Barnsley have scored at Oakwell against the Robins.

Adam Hammill netted the 101st, and it is the SEVENTH goal scored by a Barnsley substitute this season.

Barnsley have though now gone five home games without a win (after winning all of the previous three this season) Their longest such run at Oakwell since October last year (six without a win)

Barnsley have now failed to win seven of the eight games that Conor Hourihane has missed since joining the club (W1 D1 L6)

Yesterday’s attendance of 11,869 was Barnsley’s lowest at home for a Saturday match since the 9th April (10,645)
