Barnsley 3-2 Middlesbrough

Last updated : 21 October 2013 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

This was a third successive victory over Middlesbrough and a fourth out of five at Oakwell.

Barnsley scored three first half goals for the first time since January 2012. Back then they led Derby 3-0 at the break before also being pegged back to 3-2.

Those two late Albert Adomah goals mean Barnsley have now failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their of their first 12 matches of a season for the first time in 61 years.

They also remain the Football League’s leakiest defence and their goal difference of –15 is the joint worst with Tranmere.

Thankfully Barnsley managed to do something they had managed only once in the last 14 games and twice in the last 20- win! It ended a run of six matches without victory.

Boro’s form is equally poor. They two have won just twice this season and this was their fourth defeat.
