Leeds 2-1 Barnsley

Last updated : 02 October 2016 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley have now gone five games without a first half goal – the longest run since October 2015.

They have though scored in the second half in 10 of their 11 league matches (a total of 18 goals)

Leeds scored more than once against Barnsley for the first time in seven meetings.

Barnsley have conceded in both halves in three of their six away games this season.

Barnsley have gone four matches without a win for the first time since THOSE eight straight defeats in November 2015.

Both teams scored in this fixture for the firs time in five clashes.

Barnsley were the beneficiaries of an own goal for the second time this season- the same amount as in their whole League One campaign last season.

Before yesterday Pablo Hernandez had created 21 chances without being involved in a goal, he scored one and set up the other yesterday.

Barnsley lost at Elland Road for only the second time in six visits.

Overall this was only their third defeat in 11 meetings home or away but they have come in the last five clashes.
