Peterborough 3-2 Barnsley

Last updated : 25 November 2015 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley have gone back to back league games not behind at half time for the first time since September.

It is the first time since that month that Conor Hourihane has scored in successive matches.

Miles Addison became the fourth ex Barnsley player to score against them this season, following Jordan Clark, Milan Lalkovic and Michael Coulson.

Barnsley have scored seven times in their past three away league games… but have won only one having conceded 8.

Each of Sam Winnall’s last three goals have come in a losing effort.

Sam Winnall (twice) and Conor Hourihane are the only Barnsley substitutes to score a goal this season (total of 3)

Simeon Jackson is the first Barnsley substitute to be substituted himself since Jack Hunt at Charlton in April 2014.

This was Barnsley’s seventh league defeat on the road this season, the joint most in the division.

They have conceded 23 goals on their travels only Colchester (27) have conceded more

Kevin Long was shown a straight red card on his second Barnsley appearance and it is Barnsley’s first dismissal of the season. It is the first time they have got this far into a campaign without a red since 2011. They have had a man sent off in the FIRST game of the season in each of the past three seasons.

Ironically though it was the first time in 12 matches they have received no yellow cards.

Barnsley had seven shots on target (out of a staggering total of 23), their most in an away game since nine in the 3-0 FA Cup win at Chester last December.

Peterborough managed 17 shots on goal meaning there were FORTY attempted throughout the game.

There has now been 78 goals scored in the last 15 meetings with Peterborough.

Barnsley though have failed to win any of the last five.

Barnsley’s have won only six of their last 28 league matches.

They have now gone 12 games in all competitions without a clean sheet, their worst run since August- November 2013 (14)
