Last updated : 18 October 2015 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley have lost three league games in a row for the firs time since February.

Barnsley opened the scoring but were then behind at half time for the first time also for the first time since February when they lost 2-1 to Fleetwood.

It is the second time that The Reds have gone 1-0 up yet still lost this season, it also happened on the opening day at Chesterfield when a 1-0 lead ended with a 3-1 defeat.

Barnsley have drawn only one of their last 10 matches and only Burton (1) have had less stalemates than Barnsley’s two this season.

Each of Barnsley’s last four matches in all competitions have finished 2-1 (three defeats one win)

Marley Watkins has been booked in four of his last six appearances.

Each of Barnsley’s last five goals have come courtesy of a set-piece (two corners two free kicks, one penalty)

Barnsley lost at Southend for the first time since 1995 (a run of six unbeaten games) The Shrimpers scored more than once against The Reds for only the second time in six meetings.

This was Barnsley’s fourth away defeat this season, only Fleetwood (5) have lost more.
