Andy Ritchie takes tempory charge as Hart negotiates severance package

Paul Hart has not been sacked but is today negotiating a severance package at the end of his one year rolling contract. He joined the Reds on 4 March 2004 and could leave exactly a year later.

Chairman and owner Gordon Shepherd and Patrick Cryne could agree terms with Hart today.

Tykes Mad says: Yes, we've had far too many managers in recent years and need some stability but Hart's record of P 51, Won 14 (sorry for saying 13 earlier Paul), Drawn 19 and Lost 18 meant he had to go especially when combined with the feeling he was never happy in the job.

Andy Ritchie will be caretaker manager in the short term and take charge against Peterborough.
