Andy Ritchie thoughts on the home draw with Brentford

Reds boss Andy Ritchie was disappointed with not taking all 3 points as he spoke to the Official Barnsley F.C website:

" I am a bit disappointed with the result really because we were the better team throughout and controlled the 90 minutes.

We did well to get in front and then a lapse of concentration cost us dear just a minute later. In the second half Brentford did not create a chance.

We changed somethings around at half time and totally controlled things.

I was disappointed to see Paul Reid get sent off because there is no way he intentionally went to handle the ball.

I thought the referee got things right for the penalty. Stephen McPhail pushed their lad on his way through and that caused him to go over. It was not a penalty.

Martin Devaney came in this week and did well even though he tired in the second half. He has not played many games and I am sure that when he settles in he will become a real fans favourite.

It is two points dropped really and we were the better side throughout. We showed everything - good attacking football in spells and we coped well with the physical aspect
