"I think the performance was ok overall. We got into the lead in the first half without really playing well and we got drawn into their game a bit.
"After the break we were the team that played the football and we really should have been back in front when Chris Shuker had his great chance. I am not too disappointed because we showed a lot of character and played them off the park in the second half. I am disappointed with the result.
"Paul Hayes did fine and he had a lot to handle throughout the game. He took a hell of a lot of stick from the Scunthorpe fans and I thought he answered them in the best possible way by putting the ball in the net".
