Another one bites the dust! Goalkeeping coach leaves Barnsley

Reds goalkeeping coach Andrew Rhodes has left the club by mutual consent according to the official website.

The former Tykes keeper made 39 first-team appearances before moving to Doncaster Rovers in 1984. He later played for Scarborough, Halifax and Airdrie among others

Rumours that his departure was due to differences with Glyn Hodges have yet to be commented on despite the promise of more openness at the club under Peter Doyle.

Jeremy Christie, the New Zealand youngster is out of almost out of contract and the midfielder could be another to depart Oakwell soon.
