Barnsley 0-2 Doncaster Rovers: Post Match Reaction

" I do not think that was a fair result at all. We had the better chances throughout the game and I think that Rovers managed three all game even though we only had nine men at the end.

It is always going to be hard when you lose men and that is all I'm going to say about that because I will get into trouble.

I want to focus on the grit and determination shown by each and every player out there. We were excellent throughout and I thought our fans were fantastic. I want to look at the positives.

We really should have been level at the break although I do not want to point fingers at anyone. We had some gilt-edged chances in the first half and should have scored. If we had gone in level then we would have had something to protect. I am pleased by the application and determination shown by every player. They all ran the life out of themselves out there to try and get a result.

I honestly didn't see the incident with Neil Austin but from what I've been told there were two bookable offences in there as both players were raising arms and Coppinger should have been shown a card as well. I thin the linesman really should have helped as he was a lot closer than the referee.

You will have to ask the players if they thought Coppinger over reacted although it was pretty obvious from their reactions.

The second sending off was a bookable offence not a sending off. We will be looking at the video again and asking for the referee to rescind it"
