Bradford City 0-0 Barnsley: Post Match Reaction

" That was a game we really should have won and we had by far the better chances. It was a cracking game of football played in the right spirit, it is just a shame the referee did not think so.

To be honest I think we would have taken a point before the game but I felt we thoroughly deserved more.

I thought Brian Howard's red card was harsh but then their lad's was even harsher. I think the referee started the game in the way he would go on because there were some strange decisions throughout but that did not detract from the quality of football.

We played some excellent football out there and I have to give major credit to our players because they were the better side throughout.

Steven Watt came off because he felt some cramping at the top of his calf. It is not a pull so he should be ok. Daniel Nardiello looks like he could have tore his hamstring.

We will be looking at the video and hopefully appealing against Brian's sending off.

I have to pay tribute to our supporters because a lot of them made the trip and they were superb.

Jacob Burns missed the game because his wife went into labor last night and he is at the birth of his first child. It was not a contest really because family comes first"

Barnsley Boy says: A very good point and performance considering we were abysmal at Bradford last season. Martin Devaney was outstanding on –would you believe- the LEFT wing. Maybe I need to eat my words. Keep it up Martin and I’ll be more than happy to!
