Reds loan striker Michael Chopra could miss the rest of the season due to mumps.
Reds caretaker boss Andy Ritchie told the official Barnsley FC website: "He came in but was all swollen and suffering from mumps and he has been sent back to the hotel.
"Michael will be quarantined until such time as he is not a risk to the rest of the squad."
