Interesting Stats:

Barnsley have won just one of the last seven matches against champions-elect Queens Park Rangers and have lost eight of the last 12, including 5-2 and 4-0 thumpings at Loftus Road in the last two seasons.

A win for Barnsley tonight would be their 11th at Oakwell this season- no other team currently in the bottom half of the table has won that many home games.

Rangers, despite a shock 4-1 thumping at Scunthorpe at the weekend- are nine points clear at the top of the Championship and require just three wins from the final six games of the season to confirm their return to the top flight after a 15 year absence.

Saturday’s reverse at Glanford Park was Neil Warnock’s side’s fifth defeat of the campaign, and only once have they followed defeat with a victory this season. Barnsley though, who secured only their second win in 11 matches on Saturday have won back to back games only once this season.
