Following talks with the Football League on Tuesday, Kenny Moyes said: "It was a very positive meeting and both parties were able to discuss the requirements, difficulties and complexities of our case openly and thoroughly.

"The meeting reaffirmed that the majority of the League's 15 criteria had already been met. The League also confirmed that ticks can be placed against a number of the remaining criteria.

"Our intention is to ensure the few outstanding items are completed in time for the League to consider our case at their next meeting scheduled for Monday, 4 August."

"However, satisfying the League will not see us play our pre-season match against Bradford on Saturday.

"We have to satisfy a separate set of Football Association criteria for that friendly to be played."
