Reds owner Peter Doyle has told Radio Sheffield that he will walk away from the club if the take-over deal by Peter Ridsdale isn't completed by the weekend.

Doyle said, "By Friday it has got to be done, because I'm not going any further with Barnsley Football Club.
"I think I've given it everything under the circumstances.
"I've been out on my own. From day one, I said I couldn't do it on my own. I've tried every which way to keep football.
"I think we've done a good job so far, but there's no further way I can take it forward.
"We've got the agreement. I think I'm waiting for them to come back and say yes, this is it, this is happening."

A number of legal and financial details are still to be finalised, but once these have been agreed the club can be officially taken out of administration and the identity of next season's manager revealed.

Glynn Hodges, who is currently out of contract, could be replaced under the new owners with Eddie Gray a strong rumour to come in after leaving Leeds.
