Fixtures: Swift Return for Macca, Chops and Ridsdale

Stephen McPhail and Michael Chopra will get an early chance to show Barnsley fans what they are missing as The Reds start off with an home tie with the men from Wales. The Reds finished their last season gloriously in Cardiff against another Welsh team, so lets hope this one starts in the same way.

The following two games are away to Hull City and Colchester. (Colchester away was Barnsley's 3rd game of last season and we all know how that ended...)

The keenly awaited derby games with Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday come early with the game at Hillsborough in October and a home tie with Leeds in November.

Both come to Oakwell in December, with Leeds early on and Wednesday at the end.

The Reds finish the season with a tough away trip to promotion favourites West Bromwich Albion.
